Grab Your Chopsticks

In less than twelve hours, I'm off to Japan.

I hope to make a few entries whilst I'm gone but otherwise do keep yourselves amused with the GrabYourFork archives. Why not relive the memories of my last trip to Japan in 2004 (still unfinished but ahh... oh well).

See you in two weeks.

Happy feasting.

You know I will be :)

  2. Have a great time! I went on a self made eating tour of Tokyo recently and I can really recommend the Iron Chef restaurants. La Rochelle in Shibuya (Iron Chef French Sakai) has lunch for about $55 for 6 courses. Kaishoku Michiba in Ginza has lunch for about $45-$50 for 4 courses.

Hi M-H - I know about 6 people who have been to Japan in the past month. It's the destination of the moment I think!

  7. ki o tsukete kudasai!

Not sure if you'll be in Kyoto during your trip, but I heartily recommend Tagoto (http://www.kyoto-tagoto.co.jp/index-e.html) for a reasonably priced kaiseki.

I'm living in Tokyo at the moment, and have been meaning to check out the Iron Chef restaurants for a while. Looking forward to seeing what you think.

  10. Dear Helen. I'm with hungry hamster. Enjoy the ramen. Next time I go to Japan, Mr Moi and I are on a quest to find the most perfect ramen. And maybe sukiyaki and / or shabu shabu. MmmmmMMmm. And the best yakisoba to soak up the beer and shochu... Have fun!
