japanese food rocks. it can be plain, subtle, and refreshing, or it can be a fried/grilled shot of grease to your heart. i prefer the latter. reading your blog made me salivate down memory lane. my favorites: tako yaki and shabu shabu. have you tried?
have 2 Japanese restaurants within 5 minutes walking-time from my office :) good to be 'stuck' in the Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur(!). but anything fried for me please.. i am a wimp with raw food.
Hi Kolmes - Japanese food is my favourite :) We had takoyaki on this trip but alas no shabu shabu. I had shabu shabu last trip. The beef was so soft and wonderfully marbled.
Hi Ang - It was all yummy. I get stomach rumbles just editing the photos!
Hi Iggy - I like fried food too :) Plenty of that to come as well.
Hi Culinary Cowgirl - It makes your heart stop doesn't it? We all stood there drooling, wishing our hotel had a stove and fry pan!
