  1. I'd go to L'etoile if Manu is there; that French accent is so sexy. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  2. I would go to Flying Fish! :)

    ReplyDelete
  3. It's a tough decision but I would head straight to Flying Fish for the delicious sounding entree of black pepper and curry leaf prawn skewers with lime and
fresh coconut. It would be the perfect start to the Festival!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'd fly, stroll or dart over to Bird Cow Fish first, as their menu seems to be showcasing all my favorite animals, salmon, chicken & cow (I'm hoping the tiramisu is dairy rather than beef based though!) I was also hoping to taste the famous Bird Cow Fish gnocchi, but I guess it wouldn't have been suitable for that day....unless they changed their name to Bird Cow Fish Wheat?!

    ReplyDelete
  5. I like the others would head straight to Flying Fish - Peter Kuruvita combines my two loves seafood and exotic spices!!!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'm into honest food and real flavours, hence Bird Cow Fish is always the winning restaurant for me. I mean, one look at the name and you know what you are in for (:
Plus, there's nothing cooler than telling your friends "look, im having Bird Cow Fish for brunch". beats the scottish black pudding hands down! :D

    ReplyDelete
  7. Berowra Waters definitely! I'm sure getting on the seaplane to have dinner there will be awesome; but being able to taste their signature dishes like a stroll in the park?! priceless!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Definitely Etch - I love Justin North's food, it is just devine, melt in your mouth stuff. Plus, I'm planning to go to Etch for dinner soon so would love a taste test :)

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'm heading to Otto first, to start off with dessert! yummo

    ReplyDelete
  10. oh gosh oh gosh, too hard to pick just one. I’d probably have to go with Charlie & Co (& Etch) - Justin North, because I want to bathe in that man’s truffle fries! Will 60 crowns be enough to do that? Hmm, we’ll have to wait and see!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I would go to Flying Fish first, definitely.

My reason? We're having our wedding dinner there at the end of Feb and I'm sure visiting them at TOS will bring an instant smile to my face. :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. I would go straight to Four in Hand for their 12 Hour Braised Lamb Shoulder with Pea and Feta Salad.
I can never resist a slow braised dish and I think it's the best sort of dish to cook in big quantities at a festival.
    Please let me win!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I would go to Bird Cow Fish first! Looks like all kinds of meat is there to enjoy! :)

    ReplyDelete
  14. The parmesan and truffle infused fries from Charlie and Co is what beckons first and foremost-so decandantly irrestible! Love the marriage of something exotic with the stodgy and cheerful chip! Obviously need the burgher too but the fries are centre stage!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Straight to Flying Fish - Peter Kuruvita. I am a big lovers of seafood and since I am also flying into Sydney that weekend, this will be perfect for me to experience Taste in Sydney as well. I will definitely write about Taste (Sydney) and compare it with Taste of Melbourne. And why not?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Teresa borgese-coom2/11/2011 11:10 am

Assiette/District Dining..... The Oysters are to die for.... Went crazy buying them last year at Taste of Sydney

    ReplyDelete
  17. Dank St Depot. They won me over with last year's watermelon beef rubs, and I cannot wait to try their menu this year

    ReplyDelete
  18. I have heard nothing but good things about Warren Turnbull's creations! So will be hitting fine diner Assiette and little brother District Dining first. As the food looks really impressive.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Bird Cow Fish for me. Fabulous, seasonal, honest food. I could happily spend all day eating Alex's food :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well it would have to be Flying Fish for me. I am like a fish out of water since moving from Dublin to Melbourne three weeks ago....I am planning three nights in Sydney that weekend & what a way to sample the local cuisine.....

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'd be heading straight to Flying Fish for the Wattalapam! Sri Lankan coconut-based crème caramel with treacle and cashews?! Yes please!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Straight to Justin North! I love his food (specifically Becasse) and have been a fan for ages. Last year at Taste I was offering a bite of my dessert to my sister and he mistakenly thought I was offering it to him, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Four in Hand - the richness of the pork belly, the tartness of the apple cream and the crisp clean crunch of the iceberg sounds like the perfect 3 way balance

    ReplyDelete
  24. Venues like Berowra Waters in Canberra are far and few between. I'd like to try the dishes by Dietmar to awaken my culinary dream.

    ReplyDelete
  25. To be able to eat at 14 of Sydney’s best restaurants in one day, and all of their courses accessible, what can I say? Taste of Sydney my assistant salary thanks you. Restaurant Balzac and his cult Saddle of Suckling Pig with Baby Garden Peas; crisp crackling, delicate translucent gravy, I’m drooling into my tuna on crackers as I write these words…

    ReplyDelete
  26. Restaurant Balzac because ive never actually had wagyu (even though ive really really wanted to, just never had the chance and err budget as a uni student). Also i <3 Suckling pig !!!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. craig lundon2/11/2011 2:47 pm

Bilson’s and Number One - Tony Bilson really is a tiny little gem nestled in the loins of Circular Quay

    ReplyDelete
  28. I would definitely head for Berowra waters inn, its not everyday that you can travel up north from the city to dine there. And with Dietmar's cookbook out, a signed copy is a must!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'd be heading over to Restaurant Balzac - that man nearly made me cry with a degustation a couple of years ago - I still remember it fondly!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Flying Fish - how can we live on an spectacular island and not love beautiful fresh fish (cooked in way I could never manage at home!) ?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  31. L'etoile. Have heard so much about Manu's relatively new restaurant but have yet to pay a visit to the restaurant. Would love to win this pass to sample the culinary delights that he'll be offering :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. hmmmmm....If I enjoy my spaghetti mussel, gnocchi and ricotta cheese at home HOW MUCH MORE WITH THESE MOUTH-WATERING MENUS @ OMERTA AND A TAVOLA.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Definetly Flying Fish, best dish last year, hoping it lives up to it this year

    ReplyDelete
  34. I would head to Bird Cow Fish, so I can Tweet Moo and Splash at my baby boy and hopefully eat some scrummy gnocchi with prawn meat for entree. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  35. I would go to Otto Ristorante for the dessert. Who says you can't eat dessert first? It is after all the best meal. The salted caramel sounds intriguing

    ReplyDelete
  36. I would go to Restaurant Balzac to have their Crisp Wagyu Beef with Mushroom and Truffle Puree, because I suspect I had it 2 years ago at the James Squire tasting tent and it was awesome :-)

    ReplyDelete
  37. I would head to Bird Cow Fish in the hopes that their magnificent pork and duck rillette was on offer. I will die with the utter perfect taste of that dish on my lips.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'd be heading to Four in the Hand - the name 'Dark Chocolate Snickers' is totally underselling it, I just looked it up and it involves dark chocolate mousse and peanut ice cream! They had me at 'dark chocolate mousse'.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I would definately be visiting "Flying Fish - Peter Kuruvita" I dont eat a lot of fish usually (and Ive never eaten a prawn), but his menu sounds absolutely divine and I cant wait to have a taste!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Definitely to Restaurant Balzac! It was such an unforgettable memory for me as it was my first ever fine dining experience at the 2 Headed Restaurant, which was on my 21st birthday! My boyfriend took me there and he was telling me about how excellent and different the food was ( as he had been there so many times ). I was a bit skepti...cal but after trying its amazing entree, its main dishes esp the barramundi with salt & pepper squid and also its dessert, i was totally blown away!!!!!!! Definitely the 21st to remember! so i would definitely head to Restaurant Balzac first!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I will be heading to Apertif to see Miguel Maestre as he is a great cook and very funny. I want to taste his famous Paella. I will be heading to L'etoile to check out his buddy Manu and what he has to offer after Miguel. I love food and have never been to a food festival before. I am really looking forward to enjoying a lot of good food on this day.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Well 1st up is Four in Hand for the shredded pork belly, apple salad cream & crisp iceberg salad I definitely don't want to miss out on that.

I do feel that it is not a day for loyalty but a day for gluttony and am therefore looking to get around and do it all.

I am going to need some of Ormeggio at the Spit's risotto, Balzac's sucklin...g pig, Omerta / A Tavola's ricotta fritters, some caramel date tart from Etch and I dare say some Churros from Aperitif, I'm sure I'll manage to fit in a few glasses of vino along the way at some point.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Flying Fish for me, love coconut prawns with lime as entree, then I can inhale the sambal for my mains; ocean trout, and finished off with creme caramel ;) YUMMO!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Such a hard chioce between Balzac & Flying Fish... suckling pig.. ocean trout with sambal... pig.. trout...pig... trout...

    ReplyDelete
  45. I can't have enough of Justin North!!! So Etch it will be!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Ab Lib for sure. Who doesn't want to feel like they're in Paris everyday!!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Definitely heading straight to Peter Kuruvita's Flying Fish stand!! Hubby and I were in absolute ecstasy with his dish last year.. I can still remember the crunch of the prawns, hit of chilli, zing of the curry leaves and the toasty coconut! The entree this year sounds like a replica of last year's main but on a stick! Definitely salivating just thinking about them.... :P

    ReplyDelete
  48. Bird Cow Fish. Because I am an uneducated heathen in regards to food and only receive my culinary information by the way of the medium of television and the brillant Masterchef. And I've only watched Season 2 and watching Alex Herbet make the burnt butter prawn gnocchi made me want to cook food. So I don't know what's worse, the fact that I have minimal knowledge about food (I'm trying though! But I'm only sixteen) or the fact I get what I do know through a overly-dramaticised, albeit brillant, television show.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Four in Hand - Colin Fassnidge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!( screams from behind her laptop ) I would totally head over there once I step foot on that piece of green green grass.. their
12 Hour Braised Lamb Shoulder with Pea and Feta Sala will totally blow your mind off!!!! thats at least 12 hrs of love and labor that they put into this dish!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Cathrine loren2/12/2011 11:12 am

All I want us a chicken liver parfait, followed by spicy chicken with aoili, and one enormous serve of pork belly (with cashew nut caramel) oh wouldn't it be lovely?

yes, wouldn't it be lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely, oh wouldn't it.... be lovely!
    (bilsons and then Assiette).

And why? Cos these are a few of my favourite things. But I won't launch into my version of this song unless you really desire it.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Fly me to the Fish is all I have to say...this would no doubt be my first stop. Not only has this been on my list of restaurants to eat at in Sydney, all three of their tastings sound amazing...I can almost taste the crème caramel melting in my mouth now! Yummo!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Four in Hand - definitely. For the crispy pig's ear. Chef Colin Fassnidge is doing some amazing stuff with meat!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I'd try a dish
    at the Flying Fish
    where seasonal delights
    inspire a great night out!
Where the pepper & the prawn
    keep us dancing till dawn!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. On second thoughts, I might try Apertif first upon a scan of the menu. Because this "Paella a la Maestre" sounds heavenly and I've ALWAYS wanted to try paella. I love seafood, I love rice, I love the colour orange - it's a match made in heaven.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I would definitely go to L’etoile with Manu Feildel first as I want to ask him to teach me how to speak with that fantastic French accent and be charming so I too can get all the ladies to swoon when I talk.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Gosh, it's hard to choose just one! However I would choose italian dining at Omerta for the potato gnocchi and lamb ragu which are my two biggest food faves married together! Happy Valentines! Yummo

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'd head over to Restaurant Balzac - they just seem to say the rights words to my heart...
waygyu beef, mushroom, truffle, suckling pig, baby garden peas, king salmon, mint, pomegranite and feta...

and yes I do realise it's their whole menu... that's why I'd go there!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'd shove..*cough*...umm...make my way politely to the L'etoile line for their slow cooked shoulder of lamb, smoked potato puree, confit cherry tomato dish.

Slow. Cooked. Lamb. Need I say more? My heart fluttered when I read those words (and no, I'm pretty sure it's not the cholesterol).

Deciding which restaurant I'd go to first was not an easy task - so many yummy choices. Off to mainline some caffeine now.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Choosing by dish, I would definately be heading to Four In Hand first. *drools* I absolutely LOVE pork belly when it's cooked to perfection.
But there's so many to choose from....
If there was a chance of running into Manu at his restaurant stand, that would be my first choice!

    ReplyDelete
  60. I would run straight over to Assiette,
For pork belly I'd never forget.
    With caramel glazing,
    - it just sounds amazing!
Perfect to eat on the grass at sunset!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Straight over to Mr North's Etch/Charlie & Co. for the "Caramel date tart, earl grey syrup and organic vanilla (hopefully ice) cream. Highly recommend this dessert it at Etch.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Charlie & Co. because I owe my boyfriend a gourmet burger. For Valentine's Day, I promised him a gourmet burger [as opposed to a cake/dessert that guys give girls]!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I admend my previous two comments. Anything that looks yummy and within easy reach. Year 12 is draining yo! It's an endless monotony of wake up, go to school, go home, do homework, make lunch, go to sleep. Ad nauseam. Again and again, day in, day out, five days a week. All for the HSC. Those three letters bringing about absolute death. Cooking has become secondary. Good food has become secondary. I am poor and want to eat well for once. Please!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Restaurant Balzac I'd go to first,
their desserts are divine and leave me fit to burst
their bombe alaska is heaven on a plate
they might run out, so I dont want to be late

    ReplyDelete
  65. With scallops, cauliflower bhaji and curry for entree, wagyu beef burger for mains and Caramel date tart with hints of Earl grey and vanilla for dessert, I don't need to travel the world anymore as the world is coming to Etch and Charlie and Co this March. I'm definitely gonna head straight to their stall :)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Flying Fish. Because I'm studying the history of India's independence in Modern History right now and school is taking over my brain. EVERYTHING REMINDS ME OF SCHOOL. I HATE THE HSC.

    ReplyDelete
  67. L'etoile is my choice. The slow cooked lamb so succulent and tender complimented by smoked potato puree and cherry tomato confit . A melding of subtle flavours that transport one to a country hillside cafe far away!

    ReplyDelete
  68. ask me last week and my answer would have been different. but i went to bird cow fish on the weekend and the food ROCKED! so i would be heading straight there to try out some of their other culinary delights!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Four In Hand....delicious sounding mains and never eaten there before..i'd like to try something new

    ReplyDelete
  70. Okay I've changed my mind again! I am far too moody :l I would go to Otto Ristorante to sampe their 'Amedei Milk chocolate mousse with salted caramel and fresh
    berries,' for two reasons:
    1. A few months ago I read an article on Amedei Chocolate and it intrigued me so much but apparently you can only buy the chocolate online if you live in Australia, and I'm too poor so... alas.
    2. I love berries. Berries love me. Match made in heaven!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Please picture this: A very tubby Christian man who loves his food perhaps too much grabs a fork and when his Muslim wife is not looking, runs as fast as his little legs can pump to Restaurant Balzac for Suckling pig but just as he is about to reach his destination, he trips and falls flat on his face. That was last year's attempt. Hope I get a second chance before they sell out this time.

    ReplyDelete
  72. L'etoille - I would want to try,
their slow cooked lamb gives me a high,
its moist, tasty and simply divine,
plus their bavarois is so sublime

    ReplyDelete
  73. Okay I just looked at the menu again and I'm intrigued by this 'Dark Chocolate Snickers' by Four in Hand - and thus, I'll have that first. Because it just reminds me of those supermarket Dark Chocolate Snickers you can buy for a few dollars, and basically I want to see the ~high-class version of it offered by a nice restaurant.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Flying Fish - I love my spice,
To me everything they make there is nice!

    ReplyDelete
  75. 'Etch' for sure. Why? I was lucky enough to try Becasse last year and ever since the taste of Justin North's divine cooking has been ETCHED onto my tastebuds (:

    ReplyDelete
  76. There's a celebrity chef (Manu) who will outshine,
So GRAB YOUR FORK and I'll grab mine.
Then taste a plate from the L'ETOILE line,
Before crowds converge and then confine.
Meet Francophiles and sip some wine,
    Under Sydney skies, -
    Would be divine !

    ReplyDelete
  77. Easy choice for me, as I am a dessert eating Queen, straight to Etch Dining for their Caramel date tart with vanilla cream.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Straight to flying fish, to see Peter to thank him, for his amazing food and for being one sexy Sri Lankan.

    ReplyDelete
  79. To bird cow fish

sung to 'my favourite things' from sound of music
A beautiful chicken that has been roasted,
stuffed with some mushrooms - lightly toasted
the bird has been boned and tied up with strings
these are a few of my favourite things

for entree I'd like a gourmet fish cake
made from fresh salmon - dont substitute hake
served with a homemade tartare sauce
these are my favourite things of course

the tiramisu roulade is always so light
its heaven in my mouth with every bite
the food from bird cow fish always zings
these are a few of my favourite things

    my husband wont go,
if its not free I know.
    so please let me win
    I want it so bad
loving food is surely no sin

    ReplyDelete
  80. Somewhere I’ve always wanted to try, Bird Cow Fish, to try their mushroom stuffed chicken dish.

    ReplyDelete
  81. SHAMELESS LAST DITCH ATTEMPT: I would go to A Tavola & Omerta to try out the potato gnocchi with slow cooked lamb ragu. Reason? I love Italian food and I'm making anchovy pasta for school tomorrow. I am pathetically so excited to cook/eat it. Lunch is the highlight of my day! Since school is so tiring and I'm so tired. And I want to go to Taste because I surely can't afford to buy tickets on my own (HAHAHA what a joke I don't have a job anymore, and thus, no money) and it would be a nice early birthday present to my mum, who I would bring with me if I got tickets. Alas, I wish someone would just... give me money. None of that hard work/going to uni/working out the ladder stuff :(

    ReplyDelete
  82. My friends CHARLIE & CO and I, have eaten plenty of BIRD COW FISH, even FLYING FISH caught from BEROWA WATERS but I like to be AD LIB and meet up with my good mate OMEGGIO AT THE SPIT. We then hop on a bus at the DANK STREET DEPOT, hop off at the TASTE OF SYDNEY. I tell him to "GRAB YOUR FORK" and spend our crowns, FOUR IN HAND at my NUMBER ONE place who's APERITIF has always been ETCH'd in my mind, BILSON'S.

From Winston (without the Y) he he.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Definitely to Restaurant Balzac! It was such an unforgettable memory for me as it was my first ever fine dining experience at a 2 Hat Restaurant, which was on my 21st birthday! My boyfriend took me there and he was telling me about how excellent and different the food was ( as he had been there so many times ). I was a bit skeptical but after trying its amazing entree, its main dishes esp the barramundi with salt & pepper squid and also its dessert, i was totally blown away!!!!!!! Definitely the 21st to remember! so i would definitely head to Restaurant Balzac first!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Justin North (Etch),
I went to Etch for a first date with a lass I was quite taken by.
While we're no longer dating, the memory of the food and the ambience at Etch still sticks with me.

    So Etch it is!

    ReplyDelete
  85. L’etoile. I would like some french food in my system.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Got to be Berowra Waters Inn. Will have to get the bi-plane as well!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Who can go past the opportunity to at least taste the reclusive glory of Berowra Waters Inn? For us mere mortals who are time and money poor, the stall will be our first entree into that rarefied air. A chilled soup with the delicate salty bursts from the salmon roe bubbles will be the perfect accompaniment to a usually hot and sticky affair.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Omerta and A Tavola for Mussels, Mussels, Mussels and maybe I'll have a grab of Eugenio's muscles while I'm there ;)

    ReplyDelete
  89. Flying Fish - Peter Kuruvita
Fish + Me = "Mesh" of unbelievable amounts of taste bud exploding with each bite of his amazingly cooked seafood.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I hope I'm attending. But if I am, it has to be flying fish. The sad state of affairs in my life mean that my favourite eating partner and I seem to never get to sample amazing seafood - her boyfriend hating it. Mine being allergic to fish.

So if we can get ourselves to Taste of Sydney - then we'll be indulging to our hearts content o...n as much seafood as we can possibly eat. Putting aside our deep love of The Little Mermaid - eating as many of her friends as we could.

    ReplyDelete
  91. i'll definitely be trying the crispy pork belly, cashew nut caramel, watermelon & mint from district dining...pork belly and caramel are both 2 of my favourite things to eat but pork belly as a dessert could be so potentially wrong so really looking forward to what it'll taste like.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Etch & Charlie & Co because I have never heard anything like "seared scallops with cauliflower bhaji and curry" and I just love something different to try with a bit o SPICE....

    ReplyDelete
  93. As excited as I am to try the King Salmon Carpaccio from Otto - I know I will be racing to the Otto Cocktail bar and liquor producers, things got a bit out of hand during our taste of sydney day out last year - as you can see in the photo attached :) I was looking through my albums from last year to find that photo for this entry, and... I just had to share all the others on the blog - consider this an over enthusiastic entry! haha!

cant wait for taste of sydney 2011!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Definitely will be making a bee-line straight for Omerta & A Tavola - I ate at Omerta on Saturday evening and they produced some of the sexiest, most intoxicatingly delicious dishes. I want to see what the Omerta & A Tavola stand can deliver with its powers combined...also wouldn't mind checking out Eugenio Maiale to see if he is as gorgeous as the food! Fingers crossed.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Restaurant Balzac. This is one of our favourites because we always have a laugh about how close it is to "Ball Sack". Poor humour but we still get a laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I would beeline for Charlie & Co. I haven't tried them yet, but having lived in NYC for 5 years, I am constantly amazed how difficult it is to get a decent burger in Sydney. I feel like I have this conversation with someone once a week. Mince your own beef and make a real burger!! No more charging $17 for mystery meat and filler! Aargh!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  97. On wine I’d like to sip, at Ormeggio at the Spit. With crispy beef buttata and irrisitable Barbajada. From the northern beaches to Italy, my trip was beyond devine, but now I face the dilemma that no risotto in Australia tastes as fine. I’m certain Alessandro Pavoni’s dishes will be best, and I look forward to crowning them after putting them to my test.

    ReplyDelete
  98. A must for me is Bird Cow and Fish.
Spoil my tastebuds with Regal Salmon, a signature dish.

    Etch and Charlie & Co
After going to last year's Crave Festive, and had lunch at Becasse, I have fallen for Justin North!!! The food was delicate yet intense, I love that he is into local produce and fuse the traditional cuisine ideas into such modern and interesting dishes! Would love to try dishes from Etch and Charlie & Co of a different level from Becasse...J.North, the Zeus of food!

  100. So hard to pick now! I think I would flip a coin and then make my way round them all.

  101. FAN of ALL and would love to EAT EVERYTHING but my stomach is only wee big and I'm not made of money or crowns. My plan (if I'm lucky to go) is to keep an open mind and to walk around all of them and scout which dishes look the best. See if the lamb is juicy and tender, if the fish is fresh and succulent, observe if the service is friendly and hygienic, who has the yummiest dessert. Then I will decide who to go to first and perhaps discover a new favorite restaurant which the Taste of Sydney festival is all about.

  102. i'd go to Four in the Hand the 12 Hour Braised Lamb Shoulder with Pea and Feta Salad sounds to die for and what a great way to finish off with the Dark Chocolate Snickers. I don't think I would have room for any thing else.

  103. Great prizes! I always make a beeline for Restaurant Balzac because they usually have some delicious porky dish, and they have one again this year! I love their food and it's such a shame that the only time I've been able to experience it is at Taste of Sydney.

  105. I would head straight to Justin North of Becasse fame.
I'm a big fan of his nose to tail use of the carcass. Especialy in this day and age where it costs so much to raise cattle/lamb/chickens for the table.

  106. I know this sounds sad and totally uncultured but if don't get me some of those Charlie & Co Fries with Truffle Oil & Parmesan asap I might just die. Simple things make a simple gal like moi very happy! Melanie (aka The Adventures of Miss Piggy).

  111. I haven't got the chance to try the well known restaurants in Sydney yet so far. Taste of Sydney 2011 is the perfect time to get a taste of everything! All the dishes on the menu are so interesting and I want to try them all! Dark chocolate snickers? Seared scallops? The very first restaurant that attracts me is Balzac! The crisp wagyu beef and suckling pig sounds all so delicious..... I must grab the golden crispy suckling pig and enjoy the crackling sound!

  113. i'd make a beeline for Bird Cow Fish! A special someone remembers having the MOST AMAZING pork there and being the disgustingly obsessed pork lover that i am, i'll need to taste it to believe it!

  114. I'd head over to Otto Ristorante for their Amedei Milk chocolate mousse with salted caramel and fresh berries, as a salute to my five children who will be left at home with the babysitter while I enjoy four indulgent hours of adult time. Bliss!

  115. I'd be over to Berowra Waters like a shot as it's a lot easier to walk there at Taste of Sydney than to fly to the restaurant!! Although I really, really, really want to do that one day. I'll just need to find me a rich date to take me!!
