Tysons is modern Italian with an emphasis on pizza and pasta. With floor length glass windows, Tysons is airy and light but perhaps a little sterile, and the view of Harris Street isn't much to look at.
We shared a large half-and-half gourmet pizza, opting for king prawn, bacon and camembert on one half (Tuscan Prawn); and Gourmet Vegetarian on the other.
The base was light, crispy and oil-free. However this also meant that the use of cutlery was mandatory, as the topping was heavy by comparison.
Large gourmet pizza $17.50
Tuscan prawns - tomato base, cheese, king prawns, Camembert, bacon and onions
Gourmet vegetarian - tomato base, cheese, mushroom, eggplant, roasted capsicum, sundried tomatoes, feta cheese, artichokes and kalamata olives

sounds like one to avoid... My favourite pizzas are at Wood & Stone @ Surry Hills and the Pizza Factory @ Erskineville.
ReplyDelete* sigh* I miss pizza :(
Tysons was a great place to eat. We ordered the chef's special pizza. The food was great and came quickly, but the thing that really impressed, was the price. The service was also another standout feature of this restuarant. The place has a real warm and welcoming atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteWe'll definelty be going back soon!
Tyson's is no longer! They've replaced it with some steak & grill place :(
