Another one? ...Already?

Another year older, and yet put a big pile of Smarties within arm's reach and I've reverted to being a kid again.

A food-filled week ahead, but wait, what's new huh? :)

mmm smarties. I'm a big kid too! I like to tip them all out and sort them into the colours. And then eat them in order, from the colour that is least representated to the colour most represntated.

    Maybe a tad OCD *G*.

    Happy Birthday!!

    Happy Birthday to you..

Hope you have a good one.

I've been away for a few weeks and there is lots of GYF to catch up on. I've been curious about Guzman Y Gomez for a while, I'll definitely pay them a visit now. And those cupcakes from Babycakes have given me Saturday afternoon baking inspiration!

    Happy birthday Helen!

I'm quite fond of smarties too, and I'm old enough to remember when they brought the blue ones in.

    Happy celebrations ahead too!

Ahhh.. Smarties. I remember thinking as a kid that they were the bees-knees of birthday cake decorations.

    Happy Birthday!

Hi Jess - No, that's not OCD. Um, er, no... not really :)

    And thanks.

Hi kat o+ - lol. Thanks. I was so secretly pleased when that song first came out :)

Hi Food Hog - I used to love the blue ones, but the other day I was going straight for pink and purple.

And thankyou. I hope to keep up the eatfest of photos and postings too.

Hi jenjen - Thank you. I agree. Birthdays are great for re-living your childhood (I think it's all about wishful thinking).

Hi Kirsten - Thanks :) Yup it's always a sobering prospect to realise how much I do actually eat! Hope you enjoyed your cupcakes. Saturday baking is always fun.

Hi Cin - Thank you. And of course you can. Hear all about my b'day celebrations here.

Hi M-H - Thank you! And I hope I have many more to come too :)

Hi FFichiban - My birthday dinner was the best kind of them all - homemade! But there are a few more b'day celebrations out to come. Wheee!

Hi Mama Bok - Thank you! And thanks so much for always being so supportive :)

Hi Plum - Thanks. I remember the excitement of the blue ones too. I think that's why I still like them so much. There's still a childish sense of novelty factor!

Hi Y - Thanks and yes, Smarties are great for decorating. And, er, creating messages too :)

Hi AnastasiaC - Thank you, and glad you liked the picture. I think I had a little too much fun creating it too.

Hi Julia - Thanks so much. I'm looking forward to lots of delicious morsels too. And memories... ahhh... the blog is full of them :)

Hi Anon - Thanks. Glad you're enjoying the blog!

Hi Belinda - Thank you. It was a wonderful day. Made even better by so many online well-wishers too!

Hi VB - Thank you. I did have lots of fun, and you can read all about my b'day celebrations here.

Hi thanh7580 - Thanks and yes they do. Too fast, if you ask me :)

Hi B&B - Thank you both. I'm hoping for lots of good food. And perhaps a kind set of scales too :)

Hi Bex - And you can celebrate your intuition too! Thanks for your well wishes. And fun bags always are, aren't they? ;)

    Happy Birthday!

Not sure if I've commented before, but I've been loving your blog for ages, and will be heading to Sydney over Christmas to meet my boyfriend's parents. I can't wait to try out some of the restaurants you've blogged about. Any special recommendations?

Thanks for everything you do, and hope you had a great day.

Hi Pickles - Thank you. I hope so too :)

Hi Chocolatesuze - Thanks Suze and yes, it was great. Tasty too :)

Hi Cass - Thank you and thanks for commenting :) I'm not sure where you visiting from but I always recommend people visit the Sydney Fish Markets. So much fresh tasty seafood. We always grab a dozen oysters, a bag of Crystal Bay prawns and some salmon sashimi straight from the fishmongers.
