El Porron, Leichhardt

This was my third visit to El Porron--this time with a large group.

A groaning tapas platter beheld garlic prawns, patatas bravas, tortilla, whitebait, calamari rings, chorizo, blood sausage, garlic mushrooms and more gardinera than you could poke a stick at. The paella was fairly good with plenty of chicken and seafood. All in all, good value Spanish.

Patatas Bravas

Tapas platter - did you want fries with that?

Paella - enough for a small African village

Viva Espana!

Have you been to El Porron? Who do you think serves the best tapas in Sydney?

El Porron cetainly makes the best tapas the value for money and the fresh serves everytime are the best. Their prices are probably the best in Sydney as well. As for Lydia everytime we have been she has been very nice and quite funny. Viva Espana.

What value for money for such good spanish food. Beats all the spanish restaurants in liverpool street. Quote me on that. After visiting spain recently I was surprised at how authentic the paella was here and the flavour is great. The portions are huge for the tapas platter and the paella. Would recommend to anyone.

The best tapas and paella in town quote me on that

I've had the paella at this place before. We ordered paella for three and ended up with left overs for three. The spanish really know how to feel their clientele.

Hi Simon - Ooh yes you can't beat a good paella. And I'm sure paella tastes even better the next day, too!
