Steamboat & sushi extravaganza

It was a wild afternoon both in the kitchen and in the skies. Whilst we cooked up a storm inside, outside the Sydney skies opened with pelting fat drops of rain, booming thunder, and an exciting performance of ricocheting hailstones.

Sushi was on the menu. So was steamboat. Mountains of it. Mountain ranges of it even. We get our salmon from Claudio's at the Fish Markets, getting the fishmongers to fillet it for us on the spot. Then we sashimi it up at home and even fry up the salmon skin for extra tasty goodness. Delicous! And a veritable bargain.

An ocean of steamboat to chase away the cold followed by homemade creme caramel. A perfect foodie's end to the weekend.
