Upcoming events
Alas there doesn't seem to much going on food festival-wise this long weekend, although you might already be busy catching the Sydney Film Festival (10-25 June) or the Darling Harbour Jazz Festival (11-13 June).
FRIDAY 10 JUNE - MONDAY 13 JUNE 2005
If you are desperately after a convivial foodie atmosphere, you could of course make your way over to the small but slowly burgeoning Ashfield Gourmet Food and Wine Market held in the grounds of St. Johns Anglican Church, Bland Street, Ashfield (9am-2pm on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month).
Other regular food markets:
Orange Grove Markets (Saturdays)
Chatswood Public School Markets (Saturdays)
Fox Studios Farmers Markets (Saturdays)
Paddy's Markets (Friday - Sunday, and open public holiday Monday)
And don't forget the Chinatown Night Markets are on Friday nights until 24 June only.
Maybe you'll be staying at home putting the sticky sweet final touches to your tarted up entry for Sugar High Friday #9. Or perhaps this Saturday night is the night to finally play the Iron Chef drinking game. The latest IMBB theme has also been announced too (woohoo). Scroll down for further details.
The ABC is also screening a Mr Bean fest from 11.30pm Sunday night. Who needs a movie marathon when you can have a Bean-a-thon! For other TV programs, scroll down to the end of this post.
Whatever you get up to, have a fab long weekend! And for those who like to plan ahead, here are the upcoming events for the weeks ahead...
