Images of Christmas, 2007

Homemade gingerbread men,
baked by Veruca, decorated by Speedster and I

How was your Christmas?

Mine with filled with plenty of food, family and friends -- all the good things that make Christmas special although a couple of pressies never hurt either.

Was that not the coolest Christmas ever for Sydneysiders? Yes, I'm talking about the weather. We had Christmas lunch outside and at one point I was almost wishing I'd brought along a jumper. Unheard of!

My feasting began the night before, on Christmas Eve with a traditional midnight feast courtesy of Casa di Veruca. It's been non-stop since. We still have a huge chunk of leg ham in the fridge and lots of homemade Christmas cake, although the mighty pavlova has long since gone. Sigh...

The stuffing was divine and we made a scrumptious port and redcurrant gravy to go with it.

Christmas Day pavlova

A supermarket base but home-decorated, and no sis, you can never have too big a pavlova!

Hope your Christmas was wonderful too. Have a safe and happy New Year, wherever and however you may be celebrating it.
