Freebie Friday: Win a Mexican/Spanish spice kit

Can you smell that? It's the promise of summer only just around the corner!

What does summer smell like? To me it smells of sunscreen, ripe mangoes, and of course the good ol' Aussie backyard barbecue.

You'll be able to add some pizazz to your next barbecue with this week's Freebie Friday prize - a Mexican/Spanish BBQ kit from Le' Spice. Rub the Mexican seasoning into your favourite meats, use the chillies to make your own chicken mole poblano with chilli chocolate, and then welcome a balmy summer's evening with an iced chocolate made from raw organic drinking chocolate.

THE PRIZE:
Three lucky readers will win a Le' Spice Mexican/Spanish spice kit containing:

  • Mexican seasoning
  • Spanish paella seasoning
  • Spanish adobo seasoning
  • Le' Spice raw organic drinking chocolate
  • Cinnamon quill
  • and the complete range of Le' Spice's Mexican chillies:
      • chile ancho
      • chile chipotle
      • chile ouajillo
      • chile mulato

Summer smells like barbequeing! I was born and raised in Venezuela, where is summer all year long. I love the smells of grilling meat marinated in cumin, and the aroma of freshly chopped coriander (cilantro), which we use in pretty much EVERY dish.

Summer smells like gardenia, basil, figs, feta (strange...), rain on hot garden, unpleasant but lovely smell of tomato foliage, figs, mango and passion fruit.

sounded like a lovely combination for a few scented candel... tomato leaf scented candle.... ummmm. Must write into Diptyque.

Summer smells of new mown grass or hay drying in the sunshine; summer smells like raindrops on a dusty street; summer smells like the salty sea on a warm breeze; like the soft perfume of flowers in a garden, just a whif and then its gone to be replaced by yet another different scent; like the smell of food cooking outdoors; like fresh washing blowing in the breeze; like fresh strawberries eaten in the spot where they grow and the scent that they leave on your fingers; like a lovers freshly washed hair drying in the sunshine... for me my memories of summers past are embedded in the smells around me.
