i've been waiting all year for good food month to come around again! It's been the first year that I have been based in the city so I can finally go to the night noodle markets. So excited =P

    Hi Helen,

I just came across this event in November - think it might be worth promoting. http://www.streetsmartaustralia.org

Markets should be busier this Saturday since it's Good Food Month, such a shame i can't go.

Went to 85c cafe today, the $2 per slice offer has ended due to high demand, still went in and got a few things since i made the trek.

Thanks for the updates on Good Food Month! Damn it.. is the $2 cake thing over already! I didn't even get a chance to go.. I was planning to go tommorow, might go have a look anyway!

Hi Pickles - Yeah October is a good month indeed. I'm hoping to get to the night noodle markets this week.

Hi Nicole - Too bad my stomach is a treasure trove of calories too. lol

Hi Y - I have read about that initiative. What a great idea. A very worthy cause indeed.

Hi Miss K - The markets will be busier although it'd be hard to see how since they are already packed with happy people!

I noticed the sign outside 85C yesterday. I thought it was rather poor form to retract their offer.

Hi Karen - I was planning on doing more "research" myself but that might be limited now that the prices are back to normal :(

    Hi Helen,

Love your website. I just thought that you might like to include the Deepavali event which will take place at Aki's Indian restaurant on October24th and 25th to celebrate the Festival of Lights. A special 5 course banquet menu has been created for the event which promises to enlighten the taste buds.

Hi Marissa - Thanks for the tip. I try to focus on festivals that are outdoors and free but the banquet certainly sounds tasty. Appreciate the heads-up.

    Hi Helen,

I'll be traveling to Sydney w/ a friend to celebrate our birthdays.

Was trying to book a restaurant for the first Sunday of November, but it seems as though many top restaurants are closed on Sundays. Would you have any dinner recommendations for a nice restaurant for out-of-towners to visit on their bdays?

Have you been to Aria's? This is a restaurant we were considering.
