Friday Fun: Super Sized Meals

My new favourite website is Super Sized Meals, and not just because they recently featured a Grab Your Fork post (that's actually how I found the website).

There are hours of delighting in grossness here. Gargantuan food servings never fail to thrill and amuse me. Who doesn't want to marvel at the sight of a giant icecream sundae in India or the grease-fest that is an In-N-Out burger with 100 beef patties and 100 slices of cheese? And then there are the architectural skills of a group of Taiwanese students who take one-trip salad bar plate stacking efficiency to dizzying new heights at their local Pizza Hut.

Looking for a perfect celebration cake for the carnivore in your life? Check out the meatcake made from meatloaf, a triple-layer spectacular sandwiched with tomato sauce and slathered with the fluffiest mashed potato frosting you could ever grunt for.

And who isn't helplessly drawn to the spectacle of the endurance eat-fest. Sydney's own Komachi restaurant in Surry Hills is featured with its infamous eat one kilogram of ramen noodles in 30 minutes challenge. Or you can sit back and just watch the experts. The sight of two slight Japanese eaters attempting to polish off six kilograms of curry in 15 minutes is nauseatingly compelling to say the least.

So who's hungry?

Hehehe I've recently gone through their entire archive...and it was the first time I've actually looked at food and felt sick in the stomache. I now have the website bookmarked so I can look at the pictures whenever I feel myself wanting to grab some junk food. Browsing through a few of those greasy, meaty, cheesey, oily 100x100 burgers is enough to deter me from fast food!

haha... i remember feeling so disgusted when i saw that mega greasy burger... yes, a great site...

nice to see kobayashi get humbled by the big bear.. haha.. during my teenage days, i reckon i could have done pretty well as a competitive eater... won a few challenges against friends at the local pizza hut and sizzler...

    Very entertaining, I love it!

But as a loyal In-n-Out girl, (Its a locally owned an operated chain) I have GOT to point out, that place is no grease fest...its the BEST! :-)

Usually I drool at the site of food on blogs, but this site takes the cake (pun intended) when it comes to making me sick. I applaud some the food items as they are clever and funny, while others just look so disgusting. I've gone through about 10 pages so far only but my favourite would have to be the huge gummy bear and the gigantic sundae that takes about 10 people to wheel around.
