Dinner by candelight: Chocolate fondue for Earth Hour
Sydneysiders were encouraged to switch off all lights for one hour for Earth Hour last night, a symbolic commitment to the reduction of greenhouse emissions.
Whilst lights in the CBD were extinguished on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, Luna Park and many of the city's skyscrapers, we relished the opportunity to dine by candlelight with a small party around a simmering pot of chocolate fondue.
Sweet treats (which didn't end up dipped, but did get partially eaten)
Lindt couverture chocolate
Fruit platter
(bananas, peaches and kiwifruit were added later)
Mr Kipling's battenburg cakes
Mr Kipling's French Fancies
Melting the chocolate
Staircase lit by candles

You have inspired me to have a choc fondue party for my girl friends this Easter Sat. Where did you get that big container of choc? - Nora
