Freebie Friday: Win two tickets to a Beef and Beer Masterclass

Beef and beer. How can you go wrong? This week's Freebie Friday is a Beef and Beer Masterclass by MUMU Grill.

The Beef and Beer Masterclass by MUMU Grill follows on from its wildly successful launch during the Sydney International Food Festival last year. Initially expecting to fill just one class of 12, overwhelming demand led them to run six classes. As a result, MUMU will be hosting this as a regular event, held on the second and third Saturday of every month in their Crows Nest restaurant.

What's involved? Attendees will go behind-the-scenes into the MUMU kitchen, learning about different cuts of beef, cooking techniques, spice rubs and the perfect salad for barbecues. The hands-on session means everyone will have the chance to cook in the commercial kitchen before given the task of plating up the completed dishes.

The second hour will be spent with Dan Hampson from Beer Snobs, who will guide you through the process of beer tasting. You can expect to taste 5-7 beers that will accompany the dishes you prepared earlier.

THE PRIZE:
Two tickets to the MUMU Grill Beef and Beer Masterclass on Saturday 20th March 2010, 10am-1pm.

Please make sure you are available to attend this session as the date cannot be changed.

Total prize value: $170

MUMU Grill is famous for the fact that the name was chosen after a drunken night of your mum jokes.

It was going to be called YOUR MUM, then later it was shortened to U MUM, however, so as to not offend all the mummy's boys of the world it was decided that MUMU would be more appropriate.

The beauty of using this arrangement meant that people would think it had more to do with cows as opposed to mums.
