Is it me, or have those cupcakes shrunk since the last time i bought one which would have been about a year and a half ago? I clearly remember them to be much taller than the ones in the photos.

I love them love them love them!!
The worst part is wreaking them to eat them and the best parts is looking at them loveingly and then eating them... such is the dilemma of true love...
And you know i really mean it and have really felt it! Hehehe.
    Love your work!!

yum, i love Cupcakes on Pitt. i work quite close to it which is er... dangerous to say the least :)

to be honest though i think the buttercream icing is the best part. and the decorations of course!

    what's your favourite flavour, AG?

Definitely a store not to be missed.

A touch expensive but the taste, presentation and packaging well make up for the cost.

Hi Anon - I don't think they've shrunk. You can even check the photos I took in November 2005 if you want to compare :) But Big Macs on the other hand, I'm sure they've shrunk since I was a kid!

Hi Alexandra - lol. As long as they were loved to begin with... and then muahahahaha! lol

Hi lcm - I find the buttercream icing very sweet, but yes, the decorations are always the best part. I haven't eaten that many flavours - I think 4 or 5? I enjoyed the big fat chocolate-dipped strawberry on my white chocolate one, and I keep meaning to try the passionfruit one and the lemon meringue version too.

Hi Andrew - Definitely. Packaging and presentation go a long long way :)

Hi Lyn - I think they've gotten better. My last two were very fluffy and moist. I haven't been to Sakura yet, although I do often look in at the window on my way past :)

The cupcakes look shrunk maybe because of the shot angle.

Hi Lin - Agreed. Actually... I've just had a thought - does Anon realise these cupcakes are sitting in a cardboard box with cupcake holder inserts? Oops... there's another 2/3 of a cupcake patty pan hiding underneath the insert. Check out the pictures here for better clarification.

Hi MissK - I haven't tried the banana one. I must get around to some more 'research'.

Hi Joce - It seems like there are more and more cupcake outlets everywhere these days, although I didn't realise Cupcakes on Pitt had a 2nd branch.

arent they just so cute and girly? ;) i had a peanut butter one and it was tiny, moist and yummy. i expected a little more pb though, not just the little swirl on top... they have lots of yummy looking flavours i would still like to try! you dont feel as naughty eating these little babies as you do with usual-sized ones. ;P 2 bites dont count, right? will blog about them soon.

Hi PastryPrincess - Cupcakes are always a great way to get in touch with your inner child :) I think most of the cupcakes here are either chocolate or vanilla with the flavour variation in the icing. And two bites never count!
