Lamrock Cafe, Bondi

We grabbed some lunch at Lamrock Cafe on the way to viewing the last day of Sculpture by the Sea (Click here for the photos).

Sitting smack-bang in the middle of the action on Campbell Parade, Lamrock appears to be popular with tourists and a handful of locals.

I had the beef burger which turned out to be a wise choice. The beef patty was reassuringly thick with a fairly good meat ratio in the mince mixture. Served in a fresh soft rosetta bun, the burger was a satisfying handful, although the onions weren't really caramelised--just bbq-burnt. The accompanying shoestring fries were rather soggy and limp though.

Lamrock Bondi Burger $14.90
Own recipe 200g mince beef patty with lettuce, tomato, caramelised onions and bbq sauce

Chicken Caesar $14.50
with baby cos lettuce, bacon, parmesan, egg, croutons and Lamrock's own caesar dressing

Lamrock is blessed with a prime location, beach frontage views and plenty of passing tourist traffic. Lucky for Lamrock.
